Mubasher: More than a dozen people in Canada have been injured after two men detonated an explosive device, the Canadian police said on Friday.

Nearly 15 people were hospitalised on the back of an explosion staged by two men in their mid-twenties inside the Bombay Bhel restaurant in Mississauga, a city neighbouring Toronto, the Peel Regional Paramedic Service said on Twitter.

Peel Regional Police posted a photograph of two men putting on two black hoodies while one of them holding something.

The explosion took place around 10:30 pm, according to local media

Moreover, roads in the area were closed with an intensified presence of heavily armed police personnel at the scene, Canadian media reported.

The incident comes a month after a rented vehicle ploughed into a crowd of pedestrians in Toronto, killing 10 people and injuring 15 others.
